Born in the south of France, Fanny Karst spent part of her childhood in London. After graduating from Central St Martins and an apprenticeship at bespoke tailors Chittleborough & Morgan, she set up The Old Ladies Rebellion in 2009. She pursues an intergenerational revolution proving one can be elegant and cool at any age.
The classic silk dresses combine elements of Savile Row's craftsmanship with digital prints that are ordered and fitted.
Since moving to the US, she has also worked as a stylist and costume designer for various organizations such as Performa and American Express as well private clients such as Beatrix Ost, Lana Turner and Mia Solow.
Fanny Karst was featured in the Guardian, The Financial Times, Vice, l'Express, and took part in the panel at The Royal Academy's Manet exhibition in February 2013 to defend beauty and grace at any age.
